This cabinet is made of particle board and is heavy. It was easy to put together and seems sturdy. I have it almost full with files. The drawers slide smoothly and it looks great. The only down side was the packing. The Styrofoam drove me crazy! Little white balls all over. If you get this item, unpack it outside or in your garage first. Have a vacuum ready.

I like this cabinet. It looks way better than the metal filing cabinet it replaced. I just wished the compartments had holes in the backs for cords to feed through. Thats my biggest issue, but I could put some in myself. The bottom drawer is huge. I only use one set of filing folder holders and use the other half for bigger documents to lay down. Overall Im happy with the purchase. Not too bad to put together also.

The media could not be loaded.First of all, this is engineered wood, not solid wood. The bottom of the drawers and the back of the cabinet are particle board. For the price, it is pretty enough, and functional. However, you cannot fit two rows of letter size folders front to back - you can have one front to back, with the others sideways (see video). As other customers have noted, assembly is long and complicated--4 hours for me. The company could simplify this process by reducing the variety of different kinds of screws, cams, etc. involved, or at the very least, by numbering them in the order they appear in the instructions. I also had trouble with several of the screws easily stripping. The item arrived on time. It was fairly easy to assemble, I did it by myself. I had never assembled files drawers before so that was a bit of a challenge. The finished cabinet is beautiful and exactly as pictured. As stated in some of the other reviews, the wheels are not as good quality as hoped. But there are 6 wheels so it should roll okay. I would definitely buy again.

Wonderful file cabinet for the price. The wood and the hardware are all very quality parts. The size was perfect. I bought it to fit in a very specific spot in my walk-in closet under the shelves (I took the lower shelf out to accommodate it..). I needed it narrow enough to fit, but didn't want to lose too much space from my previous lateral file cabinet. It provides more room for files than a typical two drawer vertical cabinet. I bought it in Linen White to match the stark white in the closet.
