This is a solid wood bench. It is very easy to assemble and is extremely sturdy. The top has a bit of texture to it. It looks pretty nice. The wood is not perfect. There are areas where it is chipped and uneven on the legs and the ends.Right now I have this bench sitting in my front hall. It makes a nice place to sit things or to sit on when I am coming and going.I plan on using it in front of a window eventually to sit some plants on. It is the perfect height for either use.Overall, this

It comes ready to assemble, with very brief instructions. It went together fully and easily, with a few parts left over. I noted that I used all the parts I needed, so I was unconcerned to have a washer & 3 screws left over.It looks good, felt sturdy and functional. It was light, but did the job well. It looks good, and a good value for the money.

Easy to assemble, strong and sturdy. Hear me out on the rest — I replaced my bedside table with this bench. It holds a touch lamp, an extra blanket and pillow, books, and became my charging station (outlet behind bench). I love how versatile this bench can be and did I mention its strength?

This is not exactly a ready-to-use piece of furniture. It has a rough top surface with very obvious score lines, and it is stained but not varnished. I did need to sand the top down to remove the splinters and smooth the surface, and apply a couple coats of varnish, but once that was done this looks fabulous. It was the perfect size, nice simple style, and is indeed actual lightweight wood. Just what I needed for my massage therapy space.
